The Customer: major national manufacturer.

The Product: two flavors of a natural signature lip balm.

The Challenge: due to a natural disaster, customer’s facility and equipment was put temporarily out of commission and they had several large orders to be delivered on two weeks' notice. PLS had a completely full production schedule.

The Roadblock: PLS did not have raw material or packaging in stock. Additionally, PLS needed to match customer’s formula without the time to conduct a trial run.

What PLS Did: contacted customer’s suppliers and had them expedite materials to PLS facility, freed up two shifts by moving a non-urgent order, and added week end shifts and drop shipped finished goods to customer’s location within ten days.

The Result: orders were delivered on time and manufacturer did not lose the customer.
