The Customer: mid sized firm with international Natural Products retail distribution.

The Product: 10-SKU line of tinted lip products in both stick and gloss formats

Challenge: create a line of mineral tints and glosses with an upscale cosmetics appeal and a wide range of shades while maintaining a 90% Organic content. Deliver 360,000 units in secondary and tertiary packaging in 120 days.

Potential Roadblocks: components came from China with a 12 -week lead time, and shades needed to be developed before artwork could be color matched to product. Also, design team was a third party vendor unfamiliar to PLS.

What PLS Did: developed a range of 22 shades for customer to select from, then immediately ordered color matches from suppliers. President flew to New York to meet with designer, finalized color matches and decorating specifications, assessed three different Point-of-Purchase displays for pack-out  functionality and shipping modifications.

The Result: PLS was able to go into production and deliver finished goods to Customer in time for major fall industry trade show
